Driver not found --HP Deskjet 460C
I just completed my Leopard install yesterday and have spent almost all day today troubleshooting printer problems. I have installed and uninstalled drivers from my HP disk; I have reset the printer; I installed the printer drivers on the Leopard disk (under installation options) and the computer still cannot find print drivers. The computer "sees" the printer (in Print/Fax as well as Bluetooth) but still can't find the drivers.
I tried the last ditch Reset Printing System option but can't complete the steps because control-click does not bring the contextual menu up so I can click "Reset Printing System".
System profiler does not see a printer. I ran permissions check.
The HP printer utility recognizes the printer and when testing all configuration setting it checks out. STILL -- the computer can't find drivers!
Basically I have done EVERYTHING that HP and Apple suggested (as well as other MAC user support sites) and nothing works.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
