Best Calibration method - Mac Book Proo and 24inch widescreen LCD

Just wondering the best way ( and best applications???? ) to calibrate my Mac Book Pro monitor - AND my new 24inch Samsung wide screen Monitor???

I'll be using LightRoom, Final Cut Express 4 for video and photo processing and editing.....

Thoughts and comments welcome please.

(Thank you to everyone on the apple forums who have helped me select my Mac Book Pro!)

Have you tied using a Colorvision Spyder monitor calibrator?

Thanks for your note, however, I'm looking just to use software to calibrate, no hardware.

Any other suggestions?

Hi everyone.

I just did a little more digging and found SuperCal. Anyone ever used SuperCal to Calibrate their mac???

Also, how does the internal OS X calibration tool work, good results?

i suppose you have found out yourself by now whether they work for you. I have tried both but end up with a different calibration every time i do it. it all depends on how good your eyeballs are working when you do it.
