In itunes, I cannot get past the "URL could not be opened" message under the HELP tab for most choices (ex. support of any kind). I believe I have an internet setting in Windows that is wrong. My itunes and Internet Explorer are both current as I have reloaded both recently. It is also affecting my itunes store also, I cannot redeem gift cards or buy from my account without getting a message stating "session timeout." I can search in the itunes store and listen to previews but cannot purchase anything. Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions?

Whe I have been sampling tracks I recently was finding it very slow to open up the sample, leaving me waiting with the message:"Opening URL".

I went to Edit----Preferences---Advanced---and increased "Streaming Buffer" size from "small" to "large", and this I believe has largely resolved the problem. You might try it, and if it doesn't work then simply go back to small, and contact support by e-mail.

If your using windows firewall, might want to check that itunes is aloud through it.

control panel> windows firewall.

then in settings or properties , there should be an exceptions tab and have a look for itunes in there (if its not there, click add a program and browse to itunes and add it in).

if you use another firewall program might want to try and find out how to check if a program is aloud through it.
