Since I've only got 9 days to get a research proposal in and dont trust myself to stay away from YouTube I want Mac OS X 10.4 to block this site for me (
http://ie.youtube.com/)
I tried the above suggestion & put that line at the bottom of what was already there and got the following:
GNU nano 1.2.4 File: /etc/hosts
#
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
127.0.0.1
http://ie.youtube.com/
But it doesnt work. Any ideas anyone?
I'm not really a unix person and dont like screwing around in the terminal.
(I dont have a router to block it that way, just plugging straight onto the university's 6MB network connection.)
