Adult Website Blocker for Mac?

I'm sorry I could not find a good place to post this question, please direct me to a more proper forum if it exists.

Is there a software program for mac that will allow me to block all adult-related websites/content? What would be ideal is something that would allow me to select additional websites to be blocked.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Open the Terminal in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and run the following:

sudo pico /etc/hosts

This command will ask you for your administrator password, which won't appear on the screen while it is being typed. Next, add lines to the file in the format:

127.0.0.1 forbidden.address.com

Save the changes. Changing the content of this file will affect all accounts, but it can only exclude websites; it cannot be used to create a safe list.

Since I've only got 9 days to get a research proposal in and dont trust myself to stay away from YouTube I want Mac OS X 10.4 to block this site for me ( http://ie.youtube.com/)

I tried the above suggestion & put that line at the bottom of what was already there and got the following:

GNU nano 1.2.4 File: /etc/hosts

#
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 http://ie.youtube.com/

But it doesnt work. Any ideas anyone?
I'm not really a unix person and dont like screwing around in the terminal.
(I dont have a router to block it that way, just plugging straight onto the university's 6MB network connection.)
