Where are the Preview temporary (pdf) files gone?

Where are the Preview temporary (pdf) files gone?

In Tiger, Preview used to store a temporary copy of a PDF file in /private/var/tmp. Can anyone tell me where I can find this copy now (useful if you want to save a copy of the pdf but Preview doesn't let you do so).

Apparently, that isn't used any longer. Why not just select Save As and save a copy?

Depending on the security of the PDF file, you cannot use "Save As ...". However, I did find a folder in the end, much further burried than before (in Tiger):
/private/var/folders/Wl/WlTm1P0cEjyVzm4-C528SU +TM/-Tmp-/WebKitPDFs-WVkrzn/
Not sure how permanent this folder is. Easiest is to reindex the Unix locate database and search for WebKitPDFs in the Terminal window.

Interestingly, I don't have any WebKitPDFs and have never run into any secured PDFs or viewed one that I couldn't download. Thanks for the feedback. Good computing.
