HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One network printing, anyone?

Hi guys,

anyone has experience with (wireless) network printing (printer attached to the wireless router through the ethernet interface) on this printer under Tiger? I installed HP 6310 all-in-one on small network week ago and had to load network driver on each PC manually since it is a standalone network printer in that configuration; not a printer attached to print server.

Now, I need to buy a network capable printer for someone with MacBook and though that 6310 would be a good choice. I wonder if supplied Apple software includes network drivers for this printer? I know the printer is supplied with 10.4 drivers, but I have no way to say if CD includes the network drivers too. Thanks!

thanks - sounds like it should be fine then; I'll go ahead and buy the printer.

BTW, earlier today I even called HP presales and asked whether the 10.4 driver has network capability but they were not able to give me an answer and offered jetdirect (print server) family products or 3rd party hardware, oh well..
I found yet another post (at this forum) which seems to indicate that 10.4 users can print to network-connected HP Officejet 6310.

As far as I know, if it has an ethernet port, HP includes a network driver. The comm protocol of the driver will be listed under More Printers > HP IP.
