can't find downloaded printer drivers in add printer dialogue

I have a pbg4 and I am on a pc network at school. I have recently downloaded the printer drivers for my HP 1020 laserjet but wen I go to print as I add the printer and then go to select the driver, the driver is no where to be found on the list of available drivers. I have successfully mounted the install disk and ran through the install of the driver successfully but it is no where to be found on the list of drivers. Any ideas?

Hi

I have pretty much the same problem. I just bought a wireless printer and run through the setup, installed the driver, and althought the printer is now set up correctly on my network, I can't see the printer in the printer setup utility. If I find anything I will let you know, would appreciate it if you could do the same.

In my printer setup utility, there are no printers. The disks that came with my lexmark x6570 printer installed the folder with the driver on my desktop. I have tried moving it to the printer folder in library but even then I can not see it in the printer setup utility.

Gino,
Not sure I can be of much help. I found a hack online to get my mac to cooperate with the HP 1020 printer, but only if I am connected directly to the printer. Still cannot print via my network connection (windows).
