My iPod is "Stuck" on one screen! How Do I Fix It?

My iPod Nano is stuck on the Screen it looks like when you reset it! I plugged it into my computer to sync it with music and when I took it out, the music was there but it wouldn't play. I tried hitting the fast forward button but then it reset and it still won't come off the screen that has an apple! Basically what I'm seeing is a black screen with the white apple in the middle. Please!! I can still reset the iPod but it still get stuck in the " reset" screen! *+HELP ME+*

See if these help.

iPod shows only an Apple logo and doesn't start up.

Only the Apple logo appears when turned on.

What I also meant to add was that it won't connect to anything when I connect it to my computer/XBOX 360 etc. It won't let me play music in my iHome, but it can charge. If you leave the iPod not charging the apple's light is waring the battery down. But then if you plug it into the iHome to charge, you won't see that it's charging but you'll know because when you come back later the apple light will be on again
