ok, so let me admit im new to this program and studio use. i used to own a pc where i used cool edit and fruity loops for my beats. all i had to do was create a mix down and there it was...all ready to go. But with logic pro 8...when i bounce its almost like im bouncing it at a low volume or something. when i play my arrangement in the arrangement window...it sounds fine. but when i bounce it....lets say my volume is 1 to 10...10 being the highest...and its set on level 6...the song will sound like its on level 1 with a bunch of air overtaking the song. i have no clue what to do...please help...thanks
On the top of the channel strip you should see an indented square/rectangle with eq on top of it. Double click on the empty square/ rectangle and it should pop up.
If successful increase the slider on the left to get an increase in volume.
yeah..im bouncing it from the output 1-2
its so low..i have tried everything the other guy said..i raised the eq..but all that does is distort the sound coming out of my studio monitors....the mix sounds the same when i play it in itunes...which the volume on that is all the way up.
Look in the back of your studio monitors, there should be a level knob on each. Turn them up... A LOT... now turn down the **** mix levels so you're not hitting over 0db at any time and listen to the volume as loud as you want without distorting.
I think it might have to do with the fact that when you bounce a file, it automatically "normalizes" the mix. So I would look up how to normalize it yourself in the logic manuals and maybe it'll work out the way you want it.
Can you upload a stripped down example song (without audio files) that shows this issue, and we can take a look at it to see if you have missed something...?
