Installing Boot Camp on 10.4

Installing Boot Camp on 10.4

I currently have 10.4.11 and would like to install Boot Camp.

Can I purchase Leopard and install Boot Camp from Leopard without installing Leopard and stick with 10.4?

From what I can gather from this link here:

Go down the page till you see "Boot Camp Installation and Setup (Manual)", part of what it states there as to what may stop you from using it, is needing a firmware upgrade as well as needing OS X 10.4.6 or later. If you meet those requirements, you SHOULD be fine (I would think). 🙂

I just confirmed that this does NOT work. The Boot Camp package requires 10.5.

The BootCamp package.... you mean Assistant?

If you have Windows, and just want the Apple set of drivers, that should work. You cna surely update Windows before or even w/o updating Tiger.

I mean the Boot Camp installation package found in the hidden folders on the Leopard install disc. --> /System/Installation/Packages
