iphone and pioneer CD-I200

Hi there, i have a pioneer DEH-P7750MP, with the CD-I200 cable to connect my ipod and it worked great, since it had a very good sound quality and charged the ipod at the same time.
Now i bought an iphone, and when i connect my iphone to the reciever with the CD-I200 it charges the ipod, but when i play any song or video, it sound through the iphone speakers, instead of sound in the reciever.
Anyone have an idea odf why is this happening to me or how can i solve it?

What firmware version is your iPhone?

Check the base of the 3.5 plug. I had a similar issue which the base of the plug will not allow the shaft go through fully into the hole like the ear phone that Apple gives you...

Hi there its an 1.1.2 OOB iphone, as far as i know its the latest version of the firmware right?
Its any chance that the firmware its cuasing this issue that the iphone doenst seem to know that has the cable conected from the bottom connector?

Hi there, sorry for the question, but the 3.5 plug isnt the plug where the earphones are connected?
The CD-I200 its a cable that goes in the bottom connector of the iphone, as it usually goes on any ipod.

I'm using my iPhone with a DEH-P5900IB. Same CD-I200 cable.

The iPhone likes to be plugged in before the key is turned on. If I do that, the phone will go to charging and connect to the stereo as soon as I start the car. If I plug the iPhone in after the stereo is getting power, it will sometimes give me ERROR-A0. Easy fix tho, just unplug and replug the iPhone until you get the docking chime and it starts to work.

That being said, it seems some CD-I200 cables don't make a good connection with the iPhone's dock connector. Symptoms of this are bad audio and the stereo getinng stuck at "Ready", the iPod source disappearing, or other errors such as ERROR-11. I had a bad fit with my first phone from almost day one. It was replaced for an unrelated Bluetooth problem, and the new phone worked better... but the cable is worn out and it just started to get bad again today. The problem isn't really the dock connector but the cable: Both phones had a good connection on the CD-I200 cable in my mate's car. So, if you can never get it to connect properly, try another cable.

i just got the 16 gig iphone, and i have a pioneer 7900 bt with the dock cable. normally plugging it in wont work, i get that stupid error. the best workaround i found was taking saran wrap and covering the 21st pin from the left (as if the ipod would be facing up when connected) i can control the phone from the stereo, but it wont charge.

Bump this, have a Pioneer DEH-85BT and i get the same Error A0, as some other person said, the only work around is to plug/unplug the iphone until it docks properly.

iPhone is at 1.1.4
