Nano won't turn on/charge

Nano won't turn on/charge

My nano won't turn on and yes, I did try and reset it but the screen stayed black. I tried connecting it to both the computer and a travel charger to charge in case the battery was drained but again, the screen stayed black.

Any suggestions?

Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Hey I had exactly the same problem, I suggest you plug into your computer. Next press down MENU and centre button together, this will restart it. I held mine down literally for about 2 minutes, then your computer will make the 'New Hardware' sound and an apple icon will come up. Next hold down the rewind and forward buttons together. That should work, Rob. Also do you think your problem was precipitated by cold?

I had same today and that's what I did and it worked, Just press Menu and the Middle Button for 10 to 15 seconds and the iPod Nano restarted.

This was the first time I had any problem with my Nano and this solution worked like a charm.

I have the same problem. My new iPod nano 3g won't charge and turn on either. I not even use it. I've just got it as a present/

But this tip didn't help. iPod 5R's didn't help me too. Drainig the battery didn't help me either.

Any ideas?

hello my apple has the same problem the battery is dead, it doesn't charges and the computer says that "usb device is not recognize" the apple logo comes out and then it says that it needs to be recharge. it doesn't charges or recognizes it. can anyone help?
