Help setting up midi keyboards

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie and was trying to figure out how to set up two midi keyboards to run two different midi instruments so that one instrument gets the data from one keyboard and the other instrument gets its from the other.

I have a Edirol PC-50 midi keyboard plugged into a usb port and I also have a Casio CTK-611 hooked up to a m-audio usb-uno 1x1 midi cable thats also plugged into the mac usb port. Both keyboards play the instruments fine but they play both instruments together. I cant seem to figure out how to assign one keyboard to its own instrument. I have read several forums and noticed other people had the same issues but have not come across a solution yet. I have also read the manual and did what page 382 said to do but that seemed to make things worse I got no sound that way. I know I must have some setting wrong or maybe it's my gear thats not compatible.

I would also like to control a third midi instrument with the caps lock keyboard at the same time. Basically what I'm trying to achieve is to have two friends over and each pick out a drum set and all three jam away together "A Midi drum circle"

Can somebody please walk me through how I should be setting this up?

All help and suggestions are welcome

Thank you all in advance,

Aaron
