• use iMovie to make your movie. iMovie's Share menu choices include one click email sizing.
• use freeware WebcamTweaker if you do not mind adding third party apps
or want easy "effects" video, but I don't think this will record sound.

Yes, there is more than one Photo Booth. Photo Booth 2 comes with Leopard, and PB2 can record video clip that can have sound. You could get music or other audio with PB2 by recording it through your mic while you capture the video. However, although either iMovie or QuickTime Pro can add an audio track to an existing video, I do not know any way to do so by using only Photo Booth (any version).
If you do not want to upgrade to Leopard to get PB2, you can consider these alternatives:
