Photo Booth Photos - Date and Time

I have imported some photos into iPhoto that were sent via email and taken in Photo Booth. Is there a way to find the original time and date stamp? iPhoto, apparently, is using the day in which the photos were imported as the date vs. the original info.

Thanks,

Ed,

I'm afraid that means that Photo Booth doesn't actually record the time stamp of the photo (it barely records anything, according to the Info Window). This isn't because of the camera - it's the PhotoBooth software that takes the pixel data and makes a JPG out of it that should add all that extra meta data. Without that data being in the original picture file, there's no way to recover it. You may be able to use a third party program to add EXIF date/time data which is missing, but I haven't done that, per se.

EDO,

Using Command-I (or Photos -> Show Photo Info) when a photo is selected will bring up the "Photo Info" window. As you navigate to other photos, the header and database info in that window will change to reflect the newly selected file.

You are probably looking for the "Original Date" field. With digital cameras, the "original date" is generally the same as the "Digitized Date."

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do with your photo when you are noticing the imported date is used instead of the original date, though.
