Can I limit the amount of disk space devoted to Time Machine?

Hi,

I have a 500 gB external drive that I want to use to back up about 100gB of data using Time Machine, but I would like to restrict Time Machine to only about 200gB so I can use the disk for other things. Is this possible?

iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Use Apple's Disk Utility to partition the drive and create two partitions of any size you want.

Point Time Machine to the partition and you are done.
