Add subtext/margin text to movie?

How do you add subtext to a movie when using iMovie? I have one long clip that I have added to my project. But throughout the clip, I would like to add subtext along the bottom margin of the clip at several places. So not the same text throughout the whole clip.

TIA

Well, the problem is that I pick a title, drop it where I want, but the title will appear for the length of the whole clip. So the same text will appear for the whole clip.

If I edit down the time length of the title, then I can't seem to use the title function again during the clip.

It's like an all or nothing sort of thing: only one title can be used per clip.

To edit the length, click in the title box that is above the clip. Now you can grab the right edge of your title to make it longer or shorter.

You may have one long clip in your events pane, but you can easily make this into separate clips in your project. Just select the portion of the clip for the first title and add it to the project. Then select the portion of the clip for the second title and add it to the project. etc. etc. I just tested this and it works.
