Deleted emails sometimes reappear, sometimes stay on server

This may have been covered, but I could not find it via searching here. I have POP email and I have it set to remove from server when I delete on the iPhone. But sometimes they reappear after I delete them and check for new mail. Not all the time, but sometimes. And sometimes they do not get deleted from the server and I see them when I get back to my Mac and check email.

Anybody have any words of wisdom on this or confirmation?

MacBook Pro 17", Mac OS X (10.4.11)

I use outlook and my iphone deletes never disappear -- very annoying!

Have you reported it to Apple at https://bugreport.apple.com/ ?? I suggest you do, as I did

Nathan,

If your exchange server is set up to "never delete", your emails will stay. However, I have found that if I empty my "deleted mail" folder, they do not show back up in my inbox.

Try this.....hopefully it works for you.

Don't assume I am using an exchange server. I am not. I said specifically a POP email account, and I have it set to remove from server when I move the message from the inbox (i.e. trash it).
