No but the iPhone and your computer includes a Caps lock button which shouldn't be used for composing email or on the internet since it is considered as SHOUTING when doing so and is more difficult to read.

No one here knows what Apple has planned for future updates but if you already have an iPhone being used in Mexico, more than likely it is an unlocked iPhone which will likely prevent you from installing future updates provided by Apple for the iPhone if such an option is eventually included with an update.

The most recent iPhone update added the ability to type using accents and Spanish characters, such as ¡, ¿ and ñ. If you hold down the key for any vowel, por ejemplo, you'll get a choice of accents for that vowel. So you can send emails, text-messages and write notes in Spanish, even though most of the phone is not yet set up in that language.

Hope that helps a little.

I dont remember anyone saying Mexico... and what about the millions upon millions of spanish speakers that live in the US?... myself included.

It's really really annoying trying to type an sms or email in spanish and having the phone "auto-correct" everything in ENGLISH!

****, they included ITALIAN as one of the languages... you cant have an iphone in italy either. Compare the amount of spanish speakers worldwide with italian speakers...

Spanish is the 2nd language spoken in US. And is the second language of the world. All Apple products come with Spanish settings (from Spain, but that is a different discussion). I have my Ipod in spanish and I really think that the Iphone should also have a spanish feature. I do not like to beilve that apple has a language discrimination, specially for a Callifornian company.

From WikiPedia:

The Spanish language is the second-most common language in the country, spoken by almost 30 million people (or 12% of the population) in 2005. In Puerto Rico, both Spanish and English have the status of official language, and in New Mexico laws are published in both languages.

Yeah, it $ux, the setting should be in Spanish too, if u look at the iPod touch, u can set up the setting in US Spanish, as wel as English.. But again, why on Earth they add Italian and NOT Spanish?? There are almost 50 million Spanish speakers in the US (According to the US census)... I wonder if the Spaniards have their iPhones in Spanish, since the iPhone is available there.
