Do I need a program such as Toast or QuickTime Pro to burn an mp4 file to a DVD, or is it possible to use iDVD or disk utility?

Thanks.

Bearsfan, Welcome to the discussion area!

Are you trying to burn it to the DVD so it is just a file on the DVD? If so you can use the Finder or Toast.

OR are you trying to create a standard video DVD capable of playing in any commercial video DVD player? If so, have you tried launching iDVD and then dropping the mp4 into the movie area? If that doesn't work, have you tried launching iMovie and dropping the mp4 into it?
