Safari and bookmarks disappearing

My bookmarks disappeared and it took me years to get all those bookmarks. Also, when I try to make a new bookmark, it doesn't work. I have Safari 1.3.2. Also when I try to download Mozilla Firefox, I get a message about verification. I tried resetting Safari but it didn't fix problem.
