I would like to put a text file in my notes folder on my iPod nano. Which application should I use? I tried a word doc, but I couldn't read it. I used a TextEdit file, It's all jumbled up, but I can see what I typed.
You should use plain text documents. So if you want to use Word, you can but you have to save a copy with Save As... and then change the type to Plain Text. Otherwise try Notepad. Patrick
The limit is intentional so there is no way to exceed it. There is software out there that will split a large text file into smaller chunks for you, but the limit is so small (4K), that you end up with a LOT of files and it's a pain in the butt to navigate them. Unfortunately, the Notes function is just not that good at present.
