Dropped iPhone can Cause damage to the battery??

Today I dropped my iphone (not in water, and it was inside of a case) and it wasn't turning on or anything. I got home and connected to my computer (via usb) and still no response. I connected to my wall charger and voia-la an apple logo. about 5 - 10 seconds after the logo appears the phone turns back off. So I connected my wall charger to my dock and sat my phone on the dock and the phone repeatedly turns on for 5-10 seconds and powers off. I'm convinced that when I dropped my phone it damaged my battery but am not sure. If this is the case would apple cover this under warranty?

Accidental damage is not covered under the warranty.

Your more then welcome to set it up for repair and or an Apple Retail Store. They can determine if the fall actually caused the damage or if you just happen to have a manufacture defect.

At this time I can not say if the drop caused it or if it is a manufacture defect. But please feel free to call us and request an appointment be booked or service be setup and we can take a look at the iPhone.

The 1 Year Standard Manufacture Warranty covers...

1. Original iPhone accessories. Headset, USB Cable, Dock, AC Adapter

2. iPhone and iPhone Battery

So if anything happens that is caused and or determined to be a Manufacture Defect it is covered by Apple during the first year and can be covered for 2 years if you purchase the iPhone APP

I think they charge like $80 bucks to replace the battery, the question is what is causing the damage? The battery or something else and this is issue is just a side effect of a bigger problem

Right. If its a simply battery replacement the charge will be $79 plus shipping and tax.

If the repair is more than the battery then it will be $250.
