Leopard on HD1 and Tiger on HD2 ??

I have upgraded to Leopard and found that my CS2 and some other programs are not compatible. Can I install Tiger on my 2nd internal HD and when I want to use Tiger compatible programs boot from that drive even though Leopard is on my Master drive?

PowerMac Quad G5, Mac OS X (10.4.10), 8.5gb memory, super drive, two 500gb sata hd, nvidia geforce 7800 gt video

I have two partitions on an external firewire connected hard disk.
One partition has a backup of Tiger as it was before I installed Leopard.
The other partition is a current backup of Leopard from my internal disk.
Both partitions are bootable.
The Leopard backup was done with Carbon Copy Cloner.
The Tiger backup was done with SuperDuper.
