It also has a few examples to try out. Presumably, this is OK as it's an inbuilt feature of Garageband (Share: send as Ringtone feature)! Show more Less Reply Link

Essentially it just needs to be in .m4r format and converted to ACC also less than 30 seconds long is preferred and pretty much required. After that just drag and drop it into ringtones on iTunes.
