NTSC PAL Error

I'm using iDVD6. I've worked thru the tutorial step by step, but when I come to burn the project to DVD, I get an error message

TV Standard Conflict?
It seems we are burning a NTSC movie on a PAL disc.
Continue burning?

I've checked thru the preferences and everything is ticked up as PAL. Help please!!

Where did your movie content come from. It sounds like IT is in NTSC form.

I imported the movie from iMovie, which for some bizarre reason had grabbed it as NTSC. I reloaded it from my camcorder and it came up as DV-PAL this time. Talk about confused lol!! Now I find I can't burn it to DVD anyway...so am off to see if there's anything in the threads about Superdrives and how picky they can be about the discs you use.

Thanks for responding...nice to get some help 🙂

Before I did anything rash, like ditch Leopard, I scooted off to PC World and bought a spindle of Verbatim DVD-R discs. I also took the precaution of closing everything else down, and disconnected from the net, so that the only thing left running was iDVD. Hey presto, one great dvd created...and if anyone's wondering about the content...it was of my Great Dane frolicking in the snow!!! 🙂

Thanks for the help, it's greatly appreciated!
