Cover art appears in iTunes, but won't sync to iPod

It's strange. Much of the album art I have, I simply found online and copied it over into the album art box in iTunes. Some of these pieces of cover art transfered over to the Pod just fine, while several others remain blank. Again, they all appear fine on iTunes. I've tried clearing out the art and re-copying it; no luck there. How can I get the art onto my iPod classic 80g? Please help.

I have the same problem and haven't been able to fix it yet. I read a suggestion on here about unchecking the "display album art" box once the iPod is connected to iTunes, then syncing, unplugging, re-plugging, re-checking & re-syncing. It didn't work. Please hurry with firmware version 1.0.4, Apple!

I believe I read the same article on here. Yep, no help there. I suppose 5 just need to chill and expect that not everything is going to work without a hitch with my iPod. You'd just think that by now they've got it all figured out. Thanks for responding.

I had this same problem and don't know if this will help you but the way I fixed my problem was I noticed not all the songs within the album had the album artwork. Make sure when you click on each song that it shows the album artwork. What I did was copy it from one song and pasted it into the songs that were missing the artwork. Once I did this, I synced my ipod and all the cover art showed up.

That's brilliant! Worked like a charm. Note to other users, if you're having this problem, verfying that every song on the album has the right artwork may just be the solution. Worked wonderfully for me. Thanks to "bmarkr" for the ingenious idea!

As a footnote to your answer I'd like to add the following:

I experiened this exact problem AND I had made sure that the artwok appeared in every entry. The only differrence was that I was saving the artwork to disk, selecting ALL the entries for a specific album, selecting get info (multiple) and then double clicking the artwork field and browsing my hard drive to locate the artwork.

After doing this, the artowrk did appear in ITunes but would not download to the iPod.

My solution was to still pick all the album's songs but rather than search the hard drive for the artwork, I would find it on the web and copy the image (simple copy). After this I would simply paste it in the multi artwork field.

This has worked ever since and will surely cure the above artwork problem.

Some of my cover art appears on iTunes and on Album view on the iPod. But in the Cover Flow and Now Playing appears as a full black image.
