Ipod touch youtube error... still

So I've had my Ipod Touch since Christmas and still have never been able to play any youtube video's on it. Yes I have a wi-fi connection. Yes I've renewed the lease. I still get "Error playing movie" when I try to load ANY video that comes up. I've searched and searched and no one ever has a good explanation to why this is. New Codec? BS! Why did it at one time work for some people but not anymore. I know Apple wants to shun this discussion away. Does anyone have any realistic answer to my problem?

I had that error to. I restored through iTunes and now it works

What are you talking about?
Apple doesn't delete or lock legit questions.
What have you done to try and fix it?
Did you register it in iTunes?
Did you setup and account in iTunes?

Hey Lance,

Does Safari work? Visit the Apple.com web page on the iPod touch and then click a few of the links.

Try resetting the iPod.

Try testing on another Wi-Fi network, like the one at the Apple Retail Store.

Sorry to come off bitter, but it's just frustrating. Safari works great, and when I hit the youtube icon, it loads the "most viewed" and what have you and when I go to click on it I get the error playing movie. My Touch is registered in itunes.

I also tried the "restart" method. No surprise, that still doesn't help. Only thing left for me to do is try and restoring in itunes. What else am I missing? If Safari works great, then it's not a wi-fi issue.

Restoring would be a good troubleshooting step.

This can still be a Wi-Fi issue, the wireless router can filter traffic. Try testing on another Wi-Fi network like the one at the Apple Retail Store.
