Can someone tell me how to arrange ID3 tags by track number? Alumb songs on my iPod Classic are listed in numerical order. When i plug my iPod into my car the album songs appear in alphabetical order. How can i change it so that it appears in the same numerical order as it displays when my iPod is not connected to my car

Sony VAIO, Windows XP Pro

I don't know. If the iPod normally displays the songs in the order you want and then changes the order when plugged into the Car stereo, then clearly this is something to do with the car stereo and not the iPod.

I don't think it has anything to do with the car plug-in. When i plug the iPod in it says "Scanning for ID3 Tags". Once that process is complete i can view songs by artist or album. Either way the songs show up in alphabetical order. Do you know if there is a way to arrange ID3 tags by track # in iTunes or freeware app?
