What level of support is available for Nokia series 40 phones? I have just purchased (arriving tomorrow) a Nokia 7600 and was wondering what level of syncronisation would be possible. Will I at least be able to send SMS using bluetooth? What will I be able to do with the bluetooth on my new phone and my powerbook?

Have a look at MacMedia PhoneDirector. It works here for my Nokia 6820, so it could work for the quite similar Nokia 7600. It has all you need - especially I love the Java upload possibility.
Hi,
Barring iSync, you will be able to do the following:
1. Connect to net using dial-up/GPRS
2. Send/Recieve SMS using address book.
3. Send vCards from AB->Phone
4. Make/Recieve Calls using BT & AB
5. Browse the Phone using BT

Bharat

thank you so much for the programme - apart from calendar import from ical it does everything I could possibly hope for... thank you for not making my phone purchase a bit of a waste.
how do you connect to the net through a Nokia 6600? Is there advice available somewhere? Which modem script do you use? Where do you set the modem initial string (+cgdcont...)?
I have downloaded this several times, each time it fails to open with stuffit. Any ideas anyone?
OK, redownloaded stuffit, now it works but the Phone director will only allow downloads from phone, not upload, so I still have not managed to upload my address book to it. Any ideas anyone?
PhoneDirector is amazing. If only it worked with iSync, but at least I can download all the info from my phone now! Thank you!!
Hello, I was wondering if you had gotten the gallery upload and downloads to work with this program. I bought and registered the program and can't seem to get my galleries to work. I can't upload any files to them, not midi files for ring tones or jpg's, even ones that I have just downloaded from the phone.
Anyone know if there is going to be any support for this phone in the nearest future? It wont talk to my Mac and Im sending it back if it cant sync my calendar and phonebook...
Please. Anyone?

Edvin,
I've heard, although not had confirmed, that TIGER should bring many of the unsupported phones in to the isync.
But right now, I feel the same way as you, mines going back as I soon found how much I rely on iSync!

Seems likely to be this month - or even right now at the show in SF...
but who knows with Apple?

I too was disappointed to find that my new Nokia 6630 was incompatible with iSynch which worked perfectly on my Nokia 7650. A work around ensued...I synched my 7650 via Bluetooth in the normal way and then connected the two phones using Bluetooth and then used an application called DataTransfer which I got from the Nokia site to transfer the information from the 7650 to the 6630. This application was designed for people upgrading phones, I have only used it once so I do not know if it will work second time or third time...I will report
Anybody gets 6670 syncing with Mac yet?
I too bought myself a Nokia 6630 on the strength of the Apple isync site saying that it supported all series 60 phones and am very disappointed to find that it does not sync. Needless to say that it has gone back.
I have become so reliant on iSync that I could not bear to get round the problem by bluetoothing all the vCards to my phone individually.
