I am editing a project that the person who shoot it doesn´t know if they recorded it at 60i or 50i. Because we are in Spain I supouse they shot it at 50i but Final cut let me capture either way, 50i or 60i. How could I know whether is 50i or 60i? If I already have a sequence in 60i can I recapture it in 50i? I have to mix the audio tomorow!!!! PLEASE HELP ME OUT, THANKS IN ADVANCE

I"d think that the camera would show the recording format during playback on it's on screen display... doesn't matter what the sequence setting you have is, you can capture to any project file, any format.
You can recapture the clips in 50i... You can delete the current media by selecting clips, and then right clicking them to select "make offline". You can trash them that way, then recapture them using the 50i preset.
If you already have edited some clips, they too will go offline.
That would work OK. Be sure that the footage is truly 50i... If it isn't, you're spinning your wheels. Might keep the current media, copy the clips, and just make them offline, but leave the media on the drives so it stays connected to the original clips. That way you'll be able to look at them side by side to see which looks better.
