Im really a noob at this.

I want to get rid of the Windows partition to free up space but I don't want to lose my applications in OS X because I dont have a lot of the install discs anymore. What Do I need to do to be able to take advantage of the space that Windows is controlling on my hard disk? Thanks

From your profile it appears that you are using Tiger as your operating system. You will not be able to run boot camp to merge the windows partition with the Tiger partition since boot camp has expired.
One work around is to boot up in Tiger and set the date back to some time in November 2007. Then run boot camp. Choose merge partion option and that will erase the windows partition and merge it back to the Tiger's partition without erasing Tiger and its contents.

    Hi and welcome to Discussions,

    here's Apple How-To for OSX 10.4: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306805

With OSX 10.5 Leopard you simply have to run the Bootcamp Assistant again and choose the repartitioning to on single OSX volume.
