My (legal) SIM-Lock Free Iphone is fully locked after 1.1.3

Hello,

I've bought an iPhone sim lock free, during the unload week in germany. Worked fine except the phone function, the bug's everybody had.

Today i thought, i maybe the 1.1.3 update would fix this, but after updateing the iPhone i now totally can't use the iPhone anymore, its fully locked.

What can i do?

iMac Intel Core 2 Duo Ghz 24", Mac OS X (10.5.1), iPhone,Apple TV , iPod Touch, Macbook Pro 17" 2.33 , Airport Extreme 802.11n

Hi again,

I did remove the SIM card of the iphone, and did a DFU restore, and then itunes reports that it need a simcard in the device.

Put the valid SimCard in it, un and replugged the device, and ....

Now it is working !!!!!! It did unlock the Phone !!!

Keeping having a look.... and reporting here
But seems okay at first sight

Hello

yes great news, I'll have to wait the phone is currently restoring, but the Fieldmeter is 100% and it is quoting my network, so this is already okay.

Give it again some minutes, then I will see if the phone/SMS application is working finally.

Hi,

I connected my locked IPhone 2 minutes ago again. I took about 20 seconds in ITunes and now its unlocked again.

The unlocking was not very nice but anyway: thanks for the fast fix.

Hello again,

good news !!!!!

Version 1.1.3 does finally solve the bug of the Phone/SMS Application, it is working perfectly on a luxembourgish sim card !!!!

updated performed, phone activated and sim unlocked but I can't get any service with my belgian sim card. it doesn't detects any network.

anybody with same problems??

Anyone who can confirm:

* You have an official unlocked iPhone from France/Germany
* You did have the crashing SMS/receiving call in 1.1.2
* Upgraded to 1.1.3
* Now have an fully functional and unlocked iPhone

Hello Patrik,

I can confirm all your points and it is working, after some problems (probably apple did not yet update their databases) the version 1.1.3 is working as expected. And, yes the applications are now working !!

so really good news

How old is your SIM-card?

I have a person who have upgraded his unlocked 1.1.2 to 1.1.3, and when using a Swedish SIM-card he doean't get a valid signal either.

Looks like a block in the phone for some countries SIM-cards.

fyi mine is about 1 year old, luxembourgish operator, worked on 1.1.2 and does so on 1.1.3 without any problems

I did the upgrade without any hokuspokus, just download and upgrade to 1.1.3.
Worked without any problems.
I am using an Austrian Sim card (A1)

Just the number formatting looks weird.
