IT WORKS!!! HAHAHAHA
Hi guys! I had the same problem, I tried everthing, plug/unplug earphones, hard reset, airplane mode, Q tip and nothing the problem was still there.
This was what actually works for me, I just activate Siri and sounds are on again! 🙂😎
Thanks!
I had this same problem today tried everything from sucking it in haha and cleaning it and also plugging the headphones back in and out. Nothing worked until when I put them in and twisted them everything worked!
I have tried absolutely everything nothing works! A bit of water got splashed on it so I assume that's what did it. But now it's stuck in headphone mode and I cant hear anything. I tried blowing and sucking, un-plugging and plugging in headphones, turning of f and on my phone, restarting it, having someone call me and turning the speaker on and off and blowing cold air into it from the freezer. NOTHING WORKS sug. I'm very annoyed and worried it's unfixable. Does anyone have ANY other suggestions?!?!?
I used one of them air spray keyboard cleaners. Just sprayed that into headphone jacked. Worked for me
tried inserting regular buds for my iphone 5s, but no change. it shows headphones still .
The plug-unplug & reboot trick didn't work for me at all. However, I placed a call and turned the speaker on, and turned it back off. It worked.
OUt of the blue, my IPHONE 6 went into Headphones Mode...... Was really worried...... Tried everything from inserting headphones , hard reboot, Factory Reset....... Nothing worked.......Finally I switched on SIRI and the phone went back to ringer mode....... This is kind of funny......Looks like a software bug.....
VACUUM CLEANER METHOD WORKS
i have been trying the ear phone trjck and my iPhone 6 still does not recognize that I have taken them out
HI same issue the earbud trick didn't work for me ,
I place a call to it with another phone ,
messed with volume buttons and it worked got out of headphone mode :-)
This fixed it!! Voila!! I NEVER use headphones or ear buds. Long story short, I fainted (hit the floor - OUT!!!!) and happened to be in the restroom. After I picked myself back up off the floor, my phone was IN THE TOILET!!! Ph had bn stuck in headphones mode ever since!! Locking the screen, then inserting my ear buds once then right back out..... VOILA!! Great, super easy fix!!! THANKS JACOB JACKSON!
I Myself I had water exposed to my iPad headphone jack, I followed the suck in headphone jack method and then held my ipad in front of a portable blow/fan heater for 10-15 so that the iPad would not break and then pressed the volume button up and voila it worked, volume now appears instead of headphones pop-up.
hope this helps.
Was having same issues, iPhone stuck in headphone mode, so solutions worked.. I also dropped in into the toilet in our staff bathroom as it was flushing. As a last resort after reading these posts I was going to "suck out the moisture" with my mouth. I just couldn't bring myself to do it given its previous location, even despite the 59 Clorox wipes I took to the phone. I took a small nozzle attachment and my vacuum cleaner and held it ovet the jack for 10 seconds.... BAM problem solved.
I laughed and then sucked. It worked for me when none of the others would.
