i tried everything i could think of i sucked on the headphone jack look to see for debris or anything suck and nothing i turned it on and off several times and still nothing so i was desperate i grabbed my blow dryer i set it on high and bam it worked i could hear everything hope this helps you an saves you money
Its simple just go to settings >sounds and krep increasing decreasing sound if ur ringtone this will fix ut (dont stop increasing decreasing for 5 to 6 sec )
Simply go into setting then sounds and in your alarm tones just change the tone. It will instantly take out of head phone mode. No need for in and out or compressed air. I've read a few that had lint in there, but as long as it's clean in the hole, just change alarm tones with no ear buds attached. I tried all the other options none worked. But this worked great and quick.
Hey I had this problem my self on my iPhone 6s but I found out by taking a hairdryer on cold and pointi it into the jack for a minute or so fixed the problem! Hope this helps!!
plug in your headphones turn the volume up by one bar unplug it and turn it down one bar it works instantly
I tried plugging my headphones in and out but it's still not working. What do I do?
ive just experienced this problem despit the fact that I've never used a headphone on my iPhone 6s! All of a sudden, I couldn't play music through the speakers only to discover that it thinks I've got headphone plugged in even tho it isn't! But how i resolved my issue was to click on 'Airplane mode', then switch it off again and it worked! I think it's a software glitch more so than hardware?!
So I tried everything and it didn't work. I sucked on the headphone part til i almost passed out lol. I'd suck and it would work for a second and as soon as I stopped sucking it wouldn't. So I got smarter and just used the vacuum and it finally worked!!! thank god!
You are my idol! lol it work for me Thank bro!!!!
"Inhale into your headphone jack for like 5-10 seconds. And Viola!
This is the only thing that worked for me. "
This helped me... I think somethink got stuck in the headphone jack and when I inhale, it got cleared..
this helped me get out of headphone mode too
Inserting, removing, and reinserting headphone plug and cleaning the headphone jack didn't help my iPhone; what worked was when I was in Pandora and the iPhone was locked (thanks to screensaver) the speaker volume slide bar appeared, and I was able to restore the volume.
If you suspect that water is the reason behind your problem.. Instead of plugging and unplugging your ear phones, you can swirl a piece of paper into very thin one and push it in it headphones hole. Make sure you are using a big piece of paper not very small piece(which might stuck in the headphones hole).. That will remove any wetness in there. This worked for me.
I did all these fixes, and they were good advice for others, but they didn't work for me. What I did was I left my headphones in overnight (i plugged the phone in) while my Alarm Clock app was running, hoping I'd hear the buzzer through my headphones. I did, and when I took them out, the speaker worked again.
I Also had this proble and pluging in and out did not work. So what you have to do if that wont work is go to settings\sound then change the sound changing bar a couple of times. make sure to do it without your headphones pluged in. This should start to produce sound from your speakers then go to music or any other kind of media with sound and your speakers should be working just fine. This may not work if you have something like lint stuck in jack. if this does not work try unpluging and repluging your headhones a number of times as stated before In other threads.
I tried almost everything I've seen in each post in this thread except for using the vacuum and putting my iPhone 6 in the freezer for 10 minutes. None of them worked. I charged my phone and left it alone for about an hour, and all of a sudden, it's no longer in headphones mode! I'm not sure what happened, but sometimes time helps!
