iPhone won't install the latest update

This happened to me as well. I had to restore my iphone. The first time I tried it gave me an error and said it could not restore. I was so upset. Then I tried it again. It worked the second time and updated the software. I have no idea why this happened. Did anybody else have this problem?

I had a similar problem, and it was more frustrating since connecting via a dial-up, aka tin-can and string. Took 10 hours!

I opted for the download and install option, versus download and save, as well. Really rolling the dice! Upon download, the software extracted OK, but then promptly horked "Cannot update, error code -50". Uh-oh..

Resigning myself to another marathon download session, but this time saving to hard-drive, I clicked on the update tab again, it updated fine on the spot, still being resident in memory, apparently. Yay!

neither will mine. i have tried everything and nothing has worked. i guess i will just have to keep trying to install it. but so far no luck.

Do you use unlocked iPhone? Because what I know is that unlocked iPhone can't be updated.
