Reading e-books on I pod classic

Hi,

I want to read e-books on iPod classic 80 GB.
Most e books that i have are in the htm, pdf, txt, .doc formats.
The i pod does not support .pdf, .html and .doc extensions.
.txt files are appear to be supported.
However, I am not able to read the complete .txt file. Just the first few pages of the files are displayed.

I place the files in the Notes section of the iPod.

Is there a way to download a text or a pdf reader to the ipod or use a converter to read these books on the iPod?

I personally use a piece of software (windows only) that converts text/pdf etc. files to JPEGs that can be synced to your iPod like normal. It formats the images to fit the display, and has presets for classic touch and nano. The URL is http://www.merlinsoftware.com/ebook/index.htm

And no I'm not affiliated with them, I prefer to do it this way over notes, mainly because I can sync stuff easier through iTunes rather then having to drag and drop from the notes folder.
