Drive won't mount

Or, rather, it mounts very sporadically.

My Intel XServe came with an 80G drive and I added a 750G drive. Everything was fine for the first few weeks, but now the 750G drive doesn't mount (most of the time, sometimes it does) when the XServe boots. The computer hits it occasionally (the blue light on the front blinks) but the drive doesn't mount, nor does it show up in Disk Utility.

I can remove the drive from its sled and install it in my Mac Pro, and it mounts every time with no problem. Disk Utility checks reveal no problem with the drive on either platform (checked when it was mounted on the XServe) and the SMART check on the XServe reveals no problems, either.

Switching bays doesn't help.

Any ideas?
