Account does not go offline when fast user switching...

Hi,

For some reason, when I go to my desktop, using fast user switching, my wife's account remains as logged on, and available. In her account preferences, i have it set to go "offline" when fast user switching. Sometimes, when it shows her as available, it even shows the camera icon, as if I could video chat with her.

There is no other computer that she is signed into when this occurs, and she doesn't have access to any other computer with a camera at all.

I have the same setup for my account and it works as expected.

Has anyone seen this problem? Any info/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Let me know if you would like any additional info.

Thanks,
SS

Hi Scuba Steve,

I have changed mine and it does what it is supposed to. (it was staying On-Line before and I could switch back and forth and Text chat to myself in Bonjour)

If hers continues to do so after changing the setting a couple of times then Delete her com.apple.ichat.plist from Her Home folder/Library/Preferences (Users/(her account)/Library/Preferences).

This will lose her Status Messages, Font and Bubble colour choices amoungst other settings as well.
