cd/m2 of the Macbook Pro screen compared to the Macbook?

Hi all. I am having trouble locating exact specs on the Macbook screen. I believe the Macbook Pro is a 300 cd/m2 and I feel like at some point I read the Macbook was a 230 cd/m2.

Does anyone have the correct information?
And can someone tell me if the difference (including contrast) between the screens is noticeable?

I have a Macbook and am having some trouble seeing it in my brightly lit (VERY) office. I think in part this is because of the glossy screen on the Macbook. Any help would be appreciated.
