Keyboard Shortcut Key to Apple Icon

Is there a keyboard shortcut to the Apple icon on the tool are at the top which causes the drop-down-box to drop down?

I'm looking for a mouseless way to reboot or shutdown.

TIA,

Sure, it's Ctrl+F2. The Apple will highlight, then use the down-arrow key to get that menu or the right-arrow to access other entries on the menubar.

However, Ctrl+F2 won't work unless "full keyboard access" is enabled. Normally, Ctrl+F1 turns that on & off. So, try Ctrl+F2 and if it does nothing, do Ctrl+F1 then retry.

FYI... all of this is listed under System Prefs->Keyboard & Mouse->Keyboard Shortcuts. After I confirmed full keyboard access was on, I disabled the ability to toggle it so it would always stay on.
