RAZR Syncing, or lack thereof

Okay... after reading a lot about RAZR syncing here, I realize that the dim "use with address book" is not a problem. Or at least not the real problem in my case. However I still can't get my contacts in to the phone. It pairs with no problem, transfers files successfully, LOOKS like it's syncing the contacts but when it's done none of my contacts are in the phone. I've tried unparing then re-paring. Deleting and then re-adding device all to no avail.... I have the latest software in the RAZR and I'm using the latest version of Tiger and iSync. Which BTW Apple SAYS works with the RAZR

Is this really that hard? Am I just missing something here?
