Ipod Shuffle won't work

Anybody got any ideas about our ipod? It will charge ok on our computer but it won't play any music. We have reset it but no good. When I plug it into my laptop it will play music through my computer. But it won't do it on its own. Any ideas? New to this.

I had the same problem. I phone Apple as it was still under warranty. She had me hide my printer, MSN icons on the desktop. She than had me pull the plug for my printer. The one that is on the computer tower.
I than shut down my computer. When I started up it worked.
I later tried to load some music and it didn't work until I cutthe connection to the printer.
