ISync Palm Conduit 1.2 will not install on iSync 2.4

I have downloaded the iSync conduit for Palm version 1.2 and attempted to install, but the package gives the error message "iSync Palm Conduit" cannot be installed on this computer. This version of iSync Palm Conduit requires iSync 1.2 to be installed first."

However my version of iSync is 2.4. Am I doing somthing wrong, or do I need to revert to an older version of iSync?

Dual PowerMAC G5, G5 Mac Mini, CoreDuo MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Yes, you are. And no, you don't.

The iSync Palm Conduit for use with iSync 2 or later is embedded in the iSync application itself. To install and configure iSync for use with a Palm device, select the Enable Palm OS Syncing… option in any version of iSync 2, and follow the instructions which appear.

There are NO downloadable iSync components for any iSync 2 or 3 release. And, none intended for use with any version of Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5.
