wireless keyboard delay/repeating characters

I've recently been experiencing a rather weired issue; Every once in a while there is a delay from when I type something and when it appears on screen - and, on occasion after pressing a key the character will repeat itself over and over - happens with any key.

I have not been able to isolate the cause of the problem to any specific activity - just random;

Was curious if anyone else has experienced this in the past and has found a fix.

It's rather annoying and frustrating...

I have a full size white wireless keyboard.

Thanks in advance for any input

Have you tried this:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/aluminumkeyboardfirmwareupdate10.html

"his firmware update addresses an issue with the aluminum Apple Keyboard and the aluminum Apple Wireless Keyboard where a key may repeat unexpectedly while typing. The update also addresses other issues. Mac OS X 10.5.2 is required before installing this update."

I'd update through Software Update (Apple Menu > Software Update...) and make sure you run the Keyboard Updater program (Applications > Utilities Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update) once Software Update has installed, restarted or whatever it needs to do etc.

This repeating key, slight delay before the key pressed shows up, is exactly the same problem I've just started experiencing after finally updating Leopard from 10.5 to 10.5.2.

I'm a bit sketchy on the Keyboard Firmware update for my MacBook Pro. Some people say it solved their problems. For others, it has made their situation far worse. http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macbookmacbookprokeyboardfirmwareupdate10 .html

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Unfortunately, I have the same problem.
It happens now and then - sometimes a number of times a day. Makes work almost impossible. My wireless mouse also seems to lag at times. I've tried new batteries in both, looked over all the preferences I can as well as Bluetooth. I've tried rebooting and shutting off (even taking out batteries) both the keyboard and the mouse. My wireless modem is the new Airport Extreme "n" and my wireless phone is 5.2GH. This seems to have only happened after I updated to 10.5.1. I certainly hope it's fixed when we get 10.5.2 as this is very annoying!
My keyboard and mouse are new "white" units.

I am using the MS 7000 wireless mouse and keyboard and had similar problems. The mouse would actually pause every time I opened an app and if I had moved it it would sometimes shoot all the way over to another screen. I had a MS 4000 wireless mouse so I use it with the different transceiver and let the keyboard remain on the transceiver that it came with and I no longer have any problems. I even went so far as to use a usb extension cable and put the transceiver right next to the mouse and keyboard (before I switched out the mouse) and still had the problem.
