I have been trying to install Virtual PC so I can run Windows XP Professional (I need to run a few PC based programs for work). After the install, I get an error that says something like "Virtual Switch Networking failed to load, Code: A1004". When I try to contintue the installation, everything works OK until the black screen opens that says "OS not found. Install an OS on this hard drive." I insert my Windows XP Professional CD and nothing happens. According to the installation guide, Virtual PC is supposed to "capture" the disc. I tried to capture it manually by selecting "Capture Disc" under the "Drives" menu. Has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix it? I've tried reinstalling Virtual PC from several different discs, and on different machines, but always run into the same problem. Thanks in advance for the help!!
I did a bit more research and found out that if you create a disc image from the XP install disc, you can capture that and use it to install the OS. I used the disc utility to do so and VPC now works.

I have had a Powerbook G4 for a while now, and was thinking about installing Virtual PC. Powerbook G4's do not have the intel chip, they use PowerPC, so any of the newer programs for the intel macs would not work. I was wondering you have to erase your harddrive before installing VPC?
