iPhone Timer adding 50 seconds to countdown

yeah. it's weird. and while i found another post with a similar problem (added 11 seconds), their solution did not work for me, (their solution was to let it countdown from 1 minute, and then it'll fix itself).

so far i have,
- restarted my iphone
- restored my iphone

i'm out of ideas.

Definitely a weird issue. This seems to have started, for me, with the 1.1.3 update. In my case, it adds 47 seconds so that setting it for 1 minute turns into a countdown starting at 1:47. I've seen other reports for 19 and 8 seconds. If nothing else, it is quite annoying.

hey thanks. i didn't realize if it was after the update, or i hadn't noticed before or something. i guess we'll just wait for the next update. hm...should we submit this as a big report somewhere?

if so...where?

for me it's 24 seconds, but it's the same problem. Never used the timer before I upgraded to 1.1.3, so I don't know if the problem existed previously.

I've turned the phone off, turned it back on, reset it, and completely restored it fresh, and nothing has fixed it.

Just found this post on mac forums:

It suggests simply resetting the phone: settings -> general -> Reset -> reset all settings

This worked for me. Now a minute is actually a minute and not 1:24. 🙂
