Hi. I have a verizon dsl email and I can send email from my iphone but not receive it. My port settings are ssl off incoming server port 110 and outgoing 25. When I go back to my mail screen on my iphone the port # 25 is ther for ougoing mail server but not incoming. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thank you

    You can specify incoming and outgoing ports in the Advanced section (need to scroll down to the bottom of the main mail settings screen to find it.)

    Port 25 is the default port for SMTP servers, not for the incoming mail server.

    Have you confirmed these settings with Verizon?

    Are you also accessing this account with an email client on your computer and if so, no problems receiving messages there?

    If you are accessing this account with an email client on your computer, did you transfer the account settings via the iPhone sync process or did you manually create this account on your iPhone?

    If the former, have you tried deleting and then manually recreating the account on your iPhone?

    I got the settings from the mail assistant on apple website. I am not using a email client. I entered the info manually not syncing. What is an email client?

    The Mail application on the iPhone is an email client - or Outlook/Outlook Express on a Windows PC.

    Not sure why you can't receive but with a computer - garbage in = garbage out and it sounds like the account settings you got from the mail assistant for the incoming mail server may not be correct or were not entered correctly.

    Have you checked Verizon's website for the account settings? The account settings should be the same regardless if accessing the account with an email client on your computer or with the iPhone's email client.
