iPhone + Airtunes

I recently purchased the Airport express unit with Airtunes. Since purchasing the device I have enjoyed music over my living room speakers wirelessly. For those who don't have/know what Airtunes is, it is where you can wirelessly play music from your iTunes music library to your home theater system or other speakers that are connected to the airport.

With my recent purchase. I was thinking of how cool it would be if you could use the iPhone to connect with Airtunes and play music from to your speakers using the iPhone. I don't think this would be so much of a hardware feature as it would a software feature Apple would have to integrate. So I ask these questions.

-Would this be something that people would like?

-Would it work?

I would personally love this feature. Instead of pulling out my computer I could pull out my iPhone connect my music wirelessly and enjoy the tunes.

I agree with you, but I'm also interested in almost the reverse of this -

How about the functionality to use your iPhone (in it's dock) and have it in a 'dock-mode' or something, where it appears as an AirTunes/AirPort Express to iTunes on your Macintosh?

That could only be a software thing too, and obviously the iPhone has the capability what with it's audio output and 802.11g built in.
