installing quicktime components...

Question

installing quicktime components...

Hi everyone,

I installed leopard, but now I don't know which folder in the library to put my quicktime components in. It seems to be missing Library > Quicktime > components, or Library > application support > quicktime > components. Where should I put them?

Also, bit off topic, but still in the land of movies.
I'm in Australia, and I'm looking for a legal place to download movies. I have been searching for 'dawn of the dead (1978)' for weeks.

Based on the way my system is set up, the components go into /Library/QuickTime to make them available to all users, or into ~/Library/QuickTime to make them available only to you.

Hi Dave, and thank you for your reply.

However, that's the problem. I don't have a 'qucktime' folder in my (personal user library) library.
I haven't moved it. It's never been there. I guess i'll just have to install it system wide.

You don't have one because you've never needed it. If you create the folder and put components in it, QuickTime should be able to find it.
